Diego Costa has had his contract terminated by Atletico Madrid, therefore making him a free agent and available for a transfer in the coming days.

The Brazilian-born Spain international has proven he can play at the top level for a number of years, having been prolific during his time at Los Rojiblancos and Chelsea throughout his career.

However, he found himself on the fringes of Diego Simeone’s side this season following their acquisition of FC Barcelona’s Luis Suarez – a player who was heavily linked with a move to Juventus at the time as well.

I Bianconeri are believed to be in need of a new striker that can play as a back-up to Alvaro Morata and Diego Costa could be the perfect man for that role as the two Spaniards will know each other rather well already. If a partnership like this were to form with Cristiano Ronaldo in the side, many would be looking for the best betting apps for the UK market as soon as possible.

Juventus have been linked with a number of top strikers in recent weeks and months, though, however it would seem the free agent is not quite the individual that they are looking for.

According to a report by Calciomercato, Andrea Pirlo’s side are looking for an attacker that fits a different profile and will complement the firepower they already have available to them at the Allianz Arena.

Indeed, it is no secret that Diego Costa can be a fiery character and potentially disruptive to some in the dressing room, and that seems to have the Serie A giants on edge as they are keen not to destroy the harmony they already have in their dressing room at the moment.

Of course, there are also a number of other teams that will be interested in acquiring the veteran forward, with current Serie A leaders and rivals AC Milan said to have been interested. However, they are also keen not to create any issues, especially with characters such as Zlatan Ibrahimovic already at the club.

Juventus already have some of the best forwards in the world, with the likes of Morata, Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala all involved. However, the Argentine has certainly been one player to struggle to get a number of opportunities.

Therefore, although Diego Costa could prove to be a good option for them up front, there are certainly some doubts about whether he will be able to provide them what they need without the additional potential of a headache at the end of it.
