Paul Pogba will not be rushed back by Allegri

Massimiliano Allegri has insisted he will not rush Paul Pogba back from injury with Juventus receiving two major fitness boosts.

The head coach of Juventus got good news on Pogba’s fitness and that of fellow long-term absentee Federico Chiesa, who is ramping up his comeback from a cruciate ligament injury by playing in a friendly game.

Allegri, on the other hand, was certain that no one would be hurried back into his team.

“Paul has done some things with the team, and let’s not forget that he hasn’t done any serious training since 23 July,” he told reporters. “We need to give him time. Rushing to get him back one game early and jeopardising all the work would be pure madness.”

Pogba’s comeback to Turin was quickly derailed by injury.

He tore his meniscus in July and has been forced to sit out while Juventus have had a difficult start to the season, putting his World Cup chances in jeopardy.

He appears to be on his way back, which would greatly benefit the Old Lady.

The World Cup is officially less than a month away, which means the 29-year-old needs to get a move on if he wants to make a comeback and sharpen up in time for the event.

Real Madrid linked with a Juventus star

Real Madrid have perhaps the best midfield in the world right now, and yet they continue to be connected with midfield signings.

The explanation for this is rather obvious.

Toni Kroos is rumoured to be retiring at the end of the season. While Luka Modric is still going strong, he is 37 years old and will have to be replaced sooner or later.

Dani Ceballos could also be on his way out soon.

As a result, the Real Madrid midfield might look drastically different in a few years.

While they have three constants in Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde, and Eduardo Camavinga, there are other squad slots that could be up for grabs.

Names like Jude Bellingham and Bruno Guimaraes have recently been linked with moves to Real Madrid. Adrien Rabiot’s name has been added to the list, and it is a startling one.

Carlo Ancelotti, according to CalcioMercatoWeb, has long admired Rabiot. The midfielder’s contract with Juventus expires at the end of the season, and a new deal appears improbable for the time being.

As a result, the Real Madrid boss could wait until next summer to make a move for the Frenchman, or he could try to reach an agreement as early as January.
