Alvaro Morata to return to Juventus this summer

Juventus will see a familiar face return to the Allianz Stadium for the upcoming Serie A campaign, which could give them the potential that they need to recapture the title from Inter Milan.

Of course, there has been plenty of change in Turin over the summer already, with Andrea Pirlo having been sacked from his role as manager and replaced by Massimiliano Allegri (a manager who is very familiar with the club) whilst Gianluigi Buffon has left the club for a second time and has made an emotional return to Parma.

However, it is since been revealed that Spanish forward Alvaro Morata will return to the Old Lady ahead of the next season as the club have managed to exercise their option to renew the deal for a further year.

There were a number of options that Juventus had when it came down to the 28-year-old, with Bianconeri able to either keep him on loan for a further 12 months, sign him on a permanent deal or to completely terminate the contract and send him back to Atletico Madrid.

With the former of the three options having been used, Juve will still be required to pay Los Rojiblancos a further €10 million to have the privilege, despite having tried to bring that fee down a little to no avail.

Currently representing Spain in the UEFA European Championships were many will have headed to bigfreebet.com to get the best bonuses possible on him leading the way for his country, Morata will certainly look to build on his successful time with the Italian club.

He managed to win two Serie A titles between 2014 and 2016, whilst he also reached a UEFA Champions League final before joining Chelsea in a move that simply did not work out for him. He also moved to Atletico Madrid, but things did not quite go to plan there, either.

Nonetheless, he appears to have found his form in Italy as he netted 20 goals for the Old Lady last season, which was the most he has managed to score in a single season in his career to date.

Overall, Morata has scored 47 goals and recorded 27 assists in 137 appearances for Juventus.

Of course, the partnership and understanding that Morata has with manager Allegri could be key if Bianconeri are to get back to the level they once were, and if they can reestablish that relationship, then perhaps the Serie A title will arrive in Turin at the end of the 2021/22 campaign?
